Moving within 50 miles of your current residence is considered a local move in most states. Charges are based on a hourly rate for the van and two men, plus an hourly rate for each additional mover. If you have 1-3 rooms on the first floor, generally a van and two men can handle the move. However, for apartments above the first floor or the number of rooms from 4-8 would require a van and three men. Eight rooms or more require at least a van and four men.(your hourly rate will be higher with more men, however the total billing time will be less, and the job will be finished earlier and more professionally, so it could actually cost less with more men on your move).

(Travel Time) Rather than charge "portal to portal" which is from the time our movers leave our terminal to when they get back. We charge round trip driving time between the pick-up and delivery point. In other words we charge double driving time.

(Packing) Partial or complete packing is available for an hourly charge plus materials.

(Valuation Coverage) All licensed movers must include limited liability coverage for your possessions while in their care. That coverage is limited to $.60 per pound per article. If damage loss or damage should arise it is the movers responsibility to repair or replace up to that $.60 per pound per article limit. (pound.e. a movers liability for a 50 LB portable TV would be $30.00). Additional coverage is available at an extra cost.

Over 50 miles (from point of pick up to delivery point), is considered an intrastate move and charges will be based on weight and mileage rates.

A move over 50 miles within your state is considered intrastate move and rates will be based on the actual weight of your shipment and the miles it travels. Outside stairs, long carries, elevators, and possible shuttle situations may add additional charges to your moving costs. the van is weighed on a certified scale before it comes to your office and again after it has loaded your goods. The difference between the two is the actual weight of your shipment. It is best to have one of our moving consultants meet with you to survey your moving requirements and estimate the weight of your shipment.

Packing of dishes, pictures, books, etc. is based on a rate per container for each different size container or an hourly basis plus materials.
